Episode 9
Helping Our Kids Thrive in a VUCA World
Raising our children in a volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous world can be daunting.
In this fast-paced and ever-changing world, what are the key skills we should equip our children with? How can we help them thrive in such a challenging landscape?
In this episode, our host, June Yong, is joined by Paul Lim, a father of three children and a Senior Lecturer of Organisational Behavior and Human Resources at a local university. With an interest in the study of resilience, Paul unpacks the concept of hardiness – sharing tips to encourage and equip parents in cultivating these important skills to prepare our children to face challenges, ambiguity and failure.
Note: In the conversation, "parentification" was mentioned. The correct term is "hyperparenting".
