New to Primary School: How can Parents best Prepare their Child? - ParentEd

Episode 47

New to Primary School: How can Parents best Prepare their Child?

Entering Primary School for the first time often bring both a sense of excitement and nervousness for both parent and child. How can parents prepare their children for successful transition to Primary School?

Joining our host, Susan Koh, is mother of two, Adelene Chan. In preparing a child for entering Primary School, Susan and Adelene discuss parenting approaches, life skills a parent hopes to instill in their child and how parents can help their child adapt to new environments, routines and friends.

Adelene has been married to Daryl since 2011 and have 1 newly minted Primary schooler and 1 preschooler. She prizes in being a good friend and revels in the joy that others experience, and journeys with others through tough times. She deeply believes that every relationship can do with more compassion and grace. Adelene also gets to do that through her work as a communication manager in a non-profit orgranisation.
