What Happened To My Baby: How Do Parents Talk To Their Maturing Teen?, Part 2

We were all young once. We all had to navigate our way through school homework, friendships, teenage angst, and our parents! However, relationships with our growing adolescents are made more complicated these days, with the increasing speed and expectations of society and technology.

Parents of teenagers often share with us that two of the biggest challenges that they face with their children is communication and discipline. How can parents communicate so that their teens will listen? And how do we navigate boundaries and discipline effectively?

Listen in to Joanna Koh-Hoe's conversation with our guests, Charis and Zoe Patrick, as they candidly open up about their mother-daughter relationship in our 2-part episode, and glean insights for your own parenting journey.

Charis Patrick is a mum of 4 children. She is a Family & Marital Therapist, Family Life Educator and Trainer. She is also a resource speaker with Focus on the Family Singapore. Her passion is to transform the next generation by empowering parents in her generation to practice positive and healthy parenting. She also enjoys music, theatrical works and sleep.

Zoe Patrick is a student councillor in school and is also part of the school’s netball team. She loves bubble tea, enjoys literature and a good book.
